    Here it is, a screenshot from my Twitter page.

    Anyone who knows me, knows this is me. Not just because I’m sitting on that blue ball that everyone got a kick out of, but prolonged the number of hours I could sit in front of the monitors creating things with pixels. Not just because it is in the field behind my former house in Lancaster County. Not just because there is a hint of that headcovering peeking from behind identifying me as a Mennonite business woman.

    Today, twenty years ago, the World Wide Web became available to everyone —and the world as it was, changed forever.

    Ideas and concepts are expressed in language. Our daily vocabularies are certainly different. The new words that evolved around this new cyber culture give a clue to the extent of the changes in the past twenty years.

    The stats for have been going up and up and up since the midsummer overhaul of the site. The conversion rates are remarkable with email contacts and website inquiries that have posed a challenge to keep up with. But, what a great challenge!

    Not excuses, reasons. The explanation. The justification. Okay—the excuse.

    Most of us were trained to be accountable for what we do. Some are expected to be accountable for what they think. All of us are accountable for how we behave.

    In business arenas there are constant opportunities to interact with reasoning. We hear and offer reasons (excuses) throughout the day. Should we react or respond?
